Service charge by size and location
This analysis enables comparison by size across each of the regions and illustrates the spread of aggregate cost by location and size. Following the trend described earlier in this report Region 1 remains the most expensive at an average service charge cost of £6.74 per sq ft, with Region 3 the second most expensive at £5.76 per sq ft and Region 2 the least expensive at £4.39 per sq ft.
The most expensive centres across the regions are small centres in Region 1 at £9.11 per sq ft, medium centres in Region 2 at £5.36 per sq ft and small centres in Region 3 at £7.28 per sq ft.
The least expensive centres across the regions are large centres in Regions 1 and 3 at £5.28 per sq ft and £4.57 per sq ft, respectively, with the least expensive centres in Region 2 being small centres at £3.78 per sq ft.
Small centres in Regions 1 and 3 have shown large increases in costs when compared to last year. Small Region 1 centres have increased by 55.73% to £9.11 per sq ft and small Region 3 centres have increased even more dramatically from £3.28 per sq ft in 2006 to £7.28 per sq ft in 2007.
